UNESCO HERITAGE TOWNS TREBIC and TELC, A FULL DAY TRIP
Not many people realize that the Czech Republic has 12 UNESCO Heritage sites and majority of them is located near Brno. The first stop will be in town TREBIC (enjoy a nice video). There we will visit the Romanesque Basilica from the 9th century , very well preserved Jewish Quarter (UNESCO HERITAGE Site) with Synagogues and continue to Renaissance and pictoresque town of TELC.
Picturesque Renaissance and Baroque style town houses in TELC - enjoy a nice video (about 90 km west of Brno) represent a jewel between Vienna and Prague. Enjoy the drive to TELC via small villages surrounded by the rolling hills, lakes and ponds. In TELC we visit the chateau garden, climb the Town tower to get a panoramatic view, possibly make a tour of the chateau and simply enjoy the charm of this medieval UNESCO HERITAGE town with painted stucco houses. If we are lucky, we can see the market offering handmade craft or if we are twice lucky in summer, we might hit the date when we can watch the hot air balloon show.
